I am admitted to the practice of law in all state courts in Ohio.

I have been licensed as an attorney by the Ohio Supreme Court for nearly 20 years.

I am the Staff Attorney and Acting Magistrate for the Honorable Tom Parker, Judge of the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, which handles all felony criminal cases and major civil cases.  In that capacity  I am directly responsible for maintaining the efficient flow of the court's docket.  I research and write on legal issues and advise the judge on issues of law in both criminal and civil cases.  I draft orders and judgment entries for the judge's review and actively participate in the resolution of cases. 

I have served as a mediator in more than 500 civil cases in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas. 

I have served as an arbitrator in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas.

I am a former Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the appeals division of the office of the Summit County Prosecutor under former prosecutor and present Ohio Supreme Court Justice, Maureen O'Connor and former prosecutor and retired Judge of the Ninth Judicial District Court of Appeals, Lynn C. Slaby.  In that capacity I handled more than 250 appeals cases involving the full range of crimes from theft to robbery, from arson to trafficking in drugs, and from assault to capital murder. I also handled appeals from the dispositional orders of the Summit County Juvenile Court.

I have served as an instructor for the Akron Police Academy and the Summit County Sheriff's Academy.

I am happily married with three children.

I am an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Akron.  I have served three terms on, and am past President and Vice-President of St. Vincent's Parish Council.  I am a Eucharistic Minister.  I am a member of the Adult Choir. 

I am a 3rd Degree member of Knights of Columbus Council #14054 and have served in the offices of Advocate and Chancellor for the Council. I am also a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus Assembly #818.

I am a past member of the board of directors of Catholic Social Services of Summit County.

I am a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post #19 Squadron.

I am a member of the National Rifle Association.
